IP Video over Coax Cable Dongles

General Description

The A2e Technologies E2cB01 dongle pair is a special purpose device allowing transmission of full-duplex Ethernet traffic over 75 Ohm coaxial cable.

The dongles allow one to upgrade from an analog camera installation to an IP camera system without having to install new Ethernet wiring by allowing transmission of Ethernet data over existing coax cabling. This saves significant time and money.

Each dongle has an Ethernet RJ45 jack and a coaxial connector. Simply plug the camera into the Ethernet jack and the Coax into the Coax connector on the camera side. On the other end of the coax run (typically the control room) connect the other dongle into the coax and then again in to the existing Ethernet network. That is it!

  • Long Distances: 100BASE-TX at 200meters of RG59 and 300 meters RG6 coaxial cable minimum, farther with 10BASE-T operation
